Getting started with Bloom
Everything you need to set up your aesthetic planner and plan your very first day.
How do I start using Bloom Planner?
Getting started takes about a minute. Open Bloom in any web browser, then either create a free account or jump straight in without one. A short 2-minute onboarding helps you pick the areas of life you want to plan, add your first habit, and set today's number-one priority — after that you land right in the Today view, ready to go. There's nothing to download and no complicated setup: Bloom works instantly on phone, tablet and laptop.
How do I install Bloom on my phone like an app?
Bloom is a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can add it to your home screen and use it full-screen like a native app — no app store needed. On Android, open Bloom in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. On iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari, tap the Share button and choose 'Add to Home Screen'. Once installed, Bloom even works offline for viewing and editing your plans, and syncs again when you're back online.
Do I need to create an account to use Bloom?
No. You can use the entire planner without signing up — your tasks, habits and notes are simply saved in your browser on that device. Creating a free account is optional and unlocks cross-device sync, so everything follows you from phone to laptop. You can start free today and create an account later whenever you're ready, without losing your work.
Can I customise my planner sections?
Yes. Bloom starts with sections like Personal, Professional and Health, and you can add your own — Study, Family, Finances, Travel, Self-care, anything that fits your life. Each section gets its own soft pastel colour so you can filter your tasks and focus on one area at a time. Add, rename or remove sections whenever your priorities change.
Daily, weekly & monthly planning
How Bloom turns a busy mind into a calm, clear day — with tasks, priorities and search.
How do daily, weekly and monthly planning work in Bloom?
Bloom gives you three connected views that share the same tasks. Today is your daily home for tasks, your top-three priorities, mood and notes. Week shows all seven days side by side so you can balance the week ahead. Month gives you the big-picture calendar to spot busy stretches and important dates. Anything you add flows automatically between the views, so you only ever plan once.
What are the 'top three priorities'?
Instead of drowning in a 30-item to-do list, Bloom gently asks you to choose the three tasks that would make today a win. They sit right at the top of your day so your energy goes to what truly matters, while everything else waits calmly below. It's a simple, proven way to beat overwhelm and actually finish what counts — a favourite for students, working professionals and busy parents alike.
How do I move an unfinished task to another day?
Hover over any task on desktop (or tap it on mobile) and use the 'tmrw →' action to push it to tomorrow. Even easier: anything you don't finish is automatically carried forward to today the next time you open Bloom, so nothing slips through the cracks and you never have to rewrite yesterday's list by hand.
Can I search everything in my planner?
Yes. The search bar at the top of the planner instantly finds anything you've written — tasks, notes, journal entries, gratitude, habits and vision-board dreams — across every date. It's the fastest way to jump back to something from days or weeks ago without scrolling.
Can I print my weekly plan?
Yes. Open the Week view and use the Print option to get a clean, ink-friendly layout of your week — perfect for sticking on your desk, fridge or noticeboard if you like a paper copy alongside the app.
Habits, Focus & Reflection
The gentle routines that keep you growing — streaks, deep-focus time and end-of-day reflection.
How do habit streaks work?
Add the habits you want to build — drinking water, a daily walk, reading — and tick each one off on the days you complete it. Bloom counts your consecutive days into a 🔥 streak that grows the longer you keep it going. You can also fix any of the last seven days if you forgot to log one, so a single missed tap never breaks your momentum. Streaks make small daily habits genuinely motivating.
What is Focus mode?
Focus mode is a calm, full-screen space for deep work. It shows your priorities for the day alongside a gentle Pomodoro-style timer, so you can work on one thing at a time without distraction. Tick tasks off as you finish them, and take a mindful break when the timer ends. It's productivity without the pressure — ideal for study sessions and focused work blocks.
What is the daily Reflection?
Reflection is a soft end-of-day ritual. In one guided step you note how the day felt, add one thing you're grateful for, and jot any thoughts. Over time these little entries become a gentle record of your life, helping you notice patterns, celebrate progress and close each day with intention rather than an open to-do list.
What is the Weekly Review?
Once a week, Bloom helps you look back and plan forward. The Weekly Review shows how many tasks you completed, your best habit streak and your most common mood, then invites you to note your wins and set a focus for the week ahead. It's the reflective habit that keeps you improving — not just staying busy.
Journal, photos, vision board & life tools
Everything beyond tasks — your memories, dreams, money and the dates that matter.
How does the Journal work?
The Journal is your private writing space. Create dated entries with a title, a mood emoji and as much reflection as you like — a single line or a whole page. Entries are searchable and laid out beautifully like a real diary, so journaling in Bloom feels as lovely as it looks, whenever you need to write it all out.
Can I add photos and a vision board?
Yes. The Photobook keeps your favourite memories close — add photos with captions, and Bloom compresses them so they stay light and fast. The Vision Board is where your dreams live: pin a goal with a photo, a reason and a target date, and see it every day right beside your tasks so it stays front of mind.
What can I track in Money?
Bloom's money tools help you stay on top of everyday finances — record income and expenses, and split shared bills so you always know who owes what. They're designed for simple, personal money-keeping alongside your planning, not complex accounting or bank connections.
Can Bloom remind me about birthdays and special dates?
Yes. Use Moments to save birthdays, anniversaries, festivals and yearly celebrations, so the dates that matter never slip your mind. Bloom keeps them in view as they approach, so you're always ready with a wish or a plan.
Is the Password Vault safe?
Your Vault entries are encrypted in your browser before anything is synced, so only you — with your passphrase — can unlock them. For your security, never share your vault passphrase with anyone and keep it somewhere safe, because it is designed so that it cannot be recovered on your behalf.
Account & cross-device sync
Sign in once and keep Bloom perfectly in sync across phone, tablet and computer.
Can I use Bloom on my phone and computer together?
Yes. Create a free account and sign in with the same email on every device — your planner, habits, journal and everything else stay in sync. Plan on your laptop during the day, tick things off on your phone at night, and it's all the same up-to-date Bloom, wherever you are.
Is syncing instant?
Changes save to your private cloud record within a couple of seconds of editing. Your other devices load the latest version whenever you sign in or refresh, so you're always working with the most recent copy of your planner. Bloom also keeps a local copy so it stays fast and works offline.
Why does Bloom ask for my name, mobile and city at sign-up?
These details identify your account and help us prevent duplicate registrations, since each email and mobile number belongs to a single Bloom account. We use them only to run your account — never for advertising or marketing. You can read exactly how we handle your information in our Privacy Policy.
Can one email or mobile number create multiple accounts?
No. Each email address and mobile number is linked to one Bloom account, which keeps your data tidy and secure. If you need to change your details, or think you've accidentally created a duplicate, contact the Help Desk and we'll help you sort it out.
Privacy, data & security
How Bloom keeps your personal planner genuinely private — and always in your control.
Where is my data stored?
Without an account, everything stays in your browser's local storage on your own device — it never leaves. With an account, your planner is saved to a private, secured cloud record so it can sync, and cached in your browser for speed and offline use. Either way, your planner is visible only to you.
Can anyone else see my planner?
No. Bloom uses row-level security, which means the database only ever lets you reach your own profile and planner — no other user can access your data. We also never sell your information and never show you ads. Your life stays yours.
How do I back up or export my data?
Open the planner sidebar and tap 💾 Backup to download a complete copy of everything as a file you keep. You can bring it all back anytime with 📥 Restore. Taking a backup is a good habit before clearing your browser or switching devices if you use Bloom without an account.
What happens to my data if I stop using Bloom?
You're always in control. You can clear your local data from your browser at any time, or ask us to delete your account and its synced data through the Help Desk. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how long we keep data and your rights over it.
Free trial, plans & billing
Your 7-day free trial, the plans Bloom offers, and how cancellations and refunds work.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of the full Bloom experience, and no credit card is needed to begin. That's plenty of time to build a few habits, plan a couple of weeks and see whether Bloom fits your life before choosing a plan.
What plans does Bloom offer?
Bloom offers a Free tier to keep planning, a Pro plan for deeper systems and templates, and an AI+ plan for personalised guidance. There's also a discounted Student Pro plan and a limited Lifetime launch offer for early supporters. The current prices and exact inclusions are always on the Plans & Pricing page.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
You can cancel anytime, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for — after that it simply won't renew. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are generally non-refundable; but if something has genuinely gone wrong, message the Help Desk and we'll always be reasonable.
Where do I get help with a payment?
For anything billing-related, use the Help Desk form and choose the 'Account or payment' topic so your request reaches us with priority. Writing from your registered email address helps us find your account and respond faster.
Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the little things — and how to reach a real person when you need one.
I subscribed but my premium features are still locked. What should I do?
First, sign out and back in, then refresh the page — plan changes usually apply within a minute or two. If features are still locked, make sure you're signed in with the same email you used to pay, and check your internet connection. Still stuck? Send a Help Desk request from your registered email and we'll unlock it quickly.
My planner looks empty on a new device.
Make sure you're signed in with the same account you used before — synced data only appears once you're logged in. If you used Bloom without an account on the other device, that data lives only in that browser: restore it from a Backup file you saved, or sign in on both devices to keep everything in sync going forward.
I think I created two accounts by mistake.
No problem — since each email and mobile maps to one account, duplicates can happen if you signed up two different ways. Contact the Help Desk (ideally from both email addresses), tell us which account you'd like to keep, and we'll help you merge or remove the extra one.
I have a different question — can you help?
Absolutely. We're happy to help with anything not covered here. Head to the Help Desk, describe your issue, and a real person will get back to you — typically within 24 to 48 hours, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST.
Still need a hand? 💜
A real person is happy to help with anything not answered above — usually within 24–48 hours.
